This is a special album to me in so many ways. Not only was it made in some of the most inspiring places I’ve ever been to, with some of the most talented musicians I’ve ever worked with, but it also spans a season of my life that was full of chaos, change and uncertainty. These songs were written between 2018 and 2021, probably the most eventful and transformative years of my life thus far. I moved about 4 times during that period, fell in love with my first boyfriend, graduated college (after 8 years of dropping in and out), spilled my guts out on national tv, released two other albums, survived a pandemic, lost my grandfather whom I was named after, bought my first car and explored places I’d never been before, both geographically and emotionally! All that to say, I experienced a lot of changes in those years. And this album represents that aspect of transience, adventure and at times escapism. I’m so grateful to have this project in my life as a monument to those years, for the amazing professionals who helped me make it happen, Chris and the incredible band I recorded with, my soul for guiding me through this rite of passage, and my fans who continue to believe in me. This marks the end of an era for me creatively and I’m so eager to celebrate it with you all. - 🖤Jer

I bought the 12 inch single for Bela Lugosi’s Dead at Fred’s records in St. John’s, Newfoundland in the eighties and it remained a treasured item in my collection until it was lost, left behind, stolen, loaned out, whatever. I accepted that that item was lost to time and likely irreplaceable. Hence my utter shock to see that I will once again hear this evocative masterwork on vinyl along with an extra three tracks. I recall Boys was included on the B-side of that long list single. Thank you! skritti
